Biography

Ken Cowins was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1955, now working and living in the beautiful county of Dumfries and Galloway.

Ken paints very original and unique art on canvas creating textured land/seascapes in a very unique style using only the very best materials ... he is completely self-taught over the past twelve years drawing his inspiration from his twenty years as a landscape photographer covering most of the Highlands & Islands of Scotland.

Ken's style is both fluid and very dramatic, he is continually learning new methods of working on many surfaces and is looking forward to the future in which ever way his art takes him.
